Aqua Zumba at Hilton Head Health

Pool + Zumba = Aqua Zumba, a creative and safe workout led by fitness instructor/guru Alyssa Petro at Hilton Head Health (H3). “Water aerobic sports like Aqua Zumba offer de-conditioned or injured people a non-impact way to get back into shape,” said Petro. Petro, who practiced tap and ballet as a youth and has been ballroom dancing since 2001, has always been into dance fitness. In addition to Aqua Zumba, she is also certified in Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Atomic (for kids), Burn at the Barre and Surfset and she is an ACE personal trainer.

Family Friends Parks & Playgrounds on Hilton Head Island

When I told my husband my newest blog post was about playgrounds and parks on Hilton Head Island, he quickly lent his opinion!  You see, when Gray (16 months) first started walking, my husband was so excited to find the “BEST” playground on the Island – he envisioned weekends of playground hunting where he and Gray would bond over stairs, swing-sets and slides.  Now, every weekend, you can find our family riding bikes on the miles of paths…either to the beach or to the park to play.

#plaidnation: A Home Viewer's Guide To The RBC Heritage

When you start seeing more plaid than usual around Hilton Head Island, it means the PGA TOUR is in full swing. It is time for the annual RBC Heritage presented by Boeing from April 12-19 at Harbour Town Golf Links at Sea Pines Resort. It’s the stop on the TOUR where once a year we get to go all out and showcase the best of what the Lowcountry has to offer.
