Songs For a Sunny South Carolina Road Trip

The sun-soaked days of summer have arrived on Hilton Head Island so we’ve put together a playlist of sunny songs that make you feel good while you drive. Old classics, new favorites, it’s the perfect mix of music to accompany a drive along South Carolina’s tree-lined streets.

So whether you’re setting off from Savannah/Hilton Head Island International Airport to your summer vacation on Hilton Head Island, beach-bound, or driving to a dinner on the water, put this playlist on, roll down the windows, and let the good times roll.

Want Your Kids to Love Golf? Bring Them to Hilton Head Island

There is something Hilton Head Island has perfected over the years: fun family vacations. Sprinkle in some fun on the golf course and it might make you sing.

Doug Weaver is sort of like a Pied Piper of golf. The director of instruction at Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort pulls out a golf club and people gather around, be they tots, teens or grandparents. What’s his secret? He adores golf and it’s kind of contagious.

Hilton Head Island Pilates and Yoga Studio Helps You "Work That Core"

At the core of your optimal fitness is your core. Yet, according to Katie Finger-Girardi of Hilton Head’s Core Pilates and Yoga many of us confuse core with Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s washboard stomach.

“Everybody thinks core is just crunches and abdominal exercises,” says Finger-Girardi. “But your true core is your stomach and back and how they work together. The truth is, if you do 100 crunches it won’t do anything for you. You’ve got to work on your front and back in unison.”

The top 8 alfresco dining spots in hilton head

Some the most memorable meals I have savored were al fresco. There is something scrumptious about eating in communion with nature. The beverages are more effervescent and thirst quenching. Little nibbles like fresh strawberries are more luxuriating. And main dishes are greeted like old friends.

The Lowcountry, with its signature dishes and seemingly endless buffet of good weather, hosts not only perfect picnic spots but also an array of  outdoor eateries. It was a tough job, but I comprised a list of the top 8 al fresco options in Hilton Head.
