This Thanksgiving, there are plenty of events and opportunities to share meals with friends and family, fun outdoor events, and even a chance to see Santa, ensuring you make the most of this special time on America's Favorite Island®.

Gallery of Gifts - November 26 - January 3

Thanksgiving is a time to show appreciation for loved ones, whether through a delicious turkey dinner or thoughtful gifts. The Gallery of Gifts has you covered for both! If you’re looking to bring a unique, locally crafted gift as a hosting gesture or simply want to stroll through and collect special items for the holidays, this is the place. Discover handmade treasures from local artists that capture the spirit of Hilton Head Island, offering you and your loved ones a memorable piece of your time together to cherish for years to come. Starting November 26, the exhibit runs Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Sundays from 12-4 p.m. at the Art League Gallery, located mid-island inside the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, 14 Shelter Cove Lane.

Thanksgiving Turtle Trot - November 28

Before diving into all the turkey and stuffing, start your day with fresh air, exercise, and fun with family and friends! Whether you’re up for a little friendly competition or just want to soak up the beauty of Hilton Head Island, the Thanksgiving Turtle Trot 5K is the perfect kickoff. Hosted by The Palmetto Dunes Owners Association, this fifth annual event begins at 9 a.m. on November 28 at the Dunes House (14 Dunes House Lane). Registration is $35 for adults, with children under 12 running for $20. If it's your first year or a returning tradition, there’s plenty of fun waiting for everyone!

Thanksgiving with SERG Restaurant Group 

Whether you dine in or pre-order your meal from the SERG Restaurant Group, you can savor delicious dishes from Wise Guys, Poseidon, Skull Creek Dockside, Frankie Bones, and more. From Thanksgiving classics and seafood appetizers to specialty cocktails, wine pairings, and decadent desserts, there's something for every craving. Gather your loved ones and enjoy a special Thanksgiving menu or choose from some of your favorites from their regular dinner menu, available from 12-7 pm. Indulge in a range of delicious options, from turkey roulade and parmesan pesto halibut to Lowcountry boil, pecan pie, and specialty wines. As you savor the delicious food, take in the historic waterfront setting and enjoy a beautiful sunset over Broad Creek. Let the stunning views and incredible menu create the perfect atmosphere for your Thanksgiving celebration.

Once Thanksgiving is Over, the Holiday Fun is Just Beginning!

Visit with Santa at Shelter Cove - November 29

Santa came early this year and is making a special stop at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina! Spend the day after Thanksgiving enjoying a wholesome family experience to kick off the holiday season. This “Santa and Shopping Day,” happening Friday, November 29, will feature special sales throughout Shelter Cove’s shops and restaurants. Santa arrives aboard a fire truck at noon and will be stationed at the Neptune Statue until 2:30 p.m. for photos and Christmas wish-sharing. Enjoy holiday music and train rides around the marina from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and if you’d like to give back, this free event warmly welcomes donations of unwrapped toys or canned goods. Make this Thanksgiving one to remember and start a new family tradition everyone will look forward to each year!
