Links, an American Grill is excited to host a special wine tasting with one of our Certified Sommeliers on February 12th at 5 pm. Our Somm Series will be held twice a month and is the perfect class for those wanting to learn more about wine tasting, wine making and the regions they come from! Join us in our private Lighthouse Room as we taste different blends and learn the effects of different soils in Napa Valley upon Cabernet Sauvignon.

 

Our speaker for the evening will be Kim Unterreiner.

As Southeast District Manager, Kim is responsible for cultivating business for the Far Niente Family Wineries in North Carolina, South Carolina, as well as Georgia. Holding 17 years of industry experience lends to her passion for people and wine. Prior to Far Niente, Kim was in various leadership roles on the distribution side working for Breakthru Beverage for over sixteen years. During that time, she led a statewide sales force as well as managed business for multiple key luxury wineries.

Kim’s love for wine and devotion to educating the consumer are her favorite aspects of the business. Gaining her entry Sommelier as well as Certified Specialist of Wine lend to her knowledge of Napa Valley through the lens of Far Niente. Kim hails from Southern Indiana but has spent the last 20 years residing in Charleston South Carolina with her husband and two daughters. Growing up in the Midwest, she played college basketball at universities in Illinois and Indiana.

Her favorite aspect of working for Far Niente is highlighting the quality and pristine vineyards going into each bottling. Knowing each vineyard's purpose, the winemaker's intent, as well as the winery’s history in Napa Valley are Kim’s focus to translate and carry out the stories into the minds and palates of the consumer.

 

Light charcuterie offerings will be provided, and we encourage you to make a reservation for dinner in our dining room after the tasting.
