Hilton Head Island’s Kokua Fundraiser to Benefit Maui

Date:  - 8:00 PM

Location: SoundWaves 7 Lagoon Road, Hilton Head, SC 29928

Maps & Directions

Generous donors are making major contributions to the new Rotary Lowcountry Environmental Club of Hilton Head Island’s Kokua Fundraiser taking place at Soundwaves, at 7 Lagoon Road, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928, on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, 5 to 8pm. The fundraiser will feature a silent auction, LIVE music and mingling, and is open to all members of the community. It is free to attend.

“Kokua” is the Hawaiian word for help. It’s deeper meaning is to extend help to others with no intent of personal gain. During this evening of fun and philanthropy, the Hilton Head/Bluffton community will come together to support those in need. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to aid the people of Maui during this difficult time. We encourage attendees to consider making a donation or participating in the silent auction to help us achieve our goal of making a difference in the lives of those affected by recent events.

Laurie Savidge, Director of Operations of Marriott’s Grande Ocean resort, arranged food and wine for 200; Staples discounted promotional postcard printing; Accurate Lithography donated funds to pay for those postcards; the Hilton Head Art League donated press releases, flyers and postcard designs; Blue Chair Bay Rum donated spirits; the Outside Foundation donated 200 leis; the Art of Massage donated a massage; and musicians Lesch/Crawford, Peyton Dobbs, Zach Stevens, Charlie Simpson and Alice Gould have donated musical performances during the event.

Flip-flops and Hawaiian shirts are optional but highly encouraged! We hope to see you there for this important and meaningful event.
