Description

The 2nd Annual Mental Health America of the Lowcountry Pickleball Tournament, sponsorships available, will take place on September 28 and 29, 2024 at Palmetto Dunes Pickleball Center. The purpose of our pickleball tournament is to raise awareness about mental wellness while engaging in a fun and competitive sporting event, and to support the valuable work of Mental Health America of the Lowcountry (Non-Profit 501c3).

Please join us September 28 & 29 2024 at the world famous Palmetto Dunes Pickleball Center where all proceeds generated will benefit Mental Health America of the Lowcountry!

Additional Information

The tournament is open to players at all levels from 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5+


Format:

Age Groups: 50+, and Open (all age)

Start Times: Gates open at 7:00 am each day. Play will begin at 8:00 am each day.
Some form of double elimination depending on size of each event draw.


Shirts: All registered players will receive a tournament DRI-FIT tee shirt.

Medals: Medals will be awarded to first, second and third place teams in each event.

Ratings: The ratings used for registration will be Pickleball Bracket Rating (PBR) first, then self rating, if a conflict exists we will use a combination of DUPR and/or tournament director discretion to resolve. If a player plays in two events, the difference in skill level between the two events can be no greater than 0.5 .

Food: Breakfast, snacks, lunch and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.

Refund Policy

Players who get into an even and withdraw by August 31 will be refunded the amount paid less a $20 fee.

No refunds after August 31.

We do not have an indoor backup facility. If the matches cannot be completed because of weather or other reasons. We will make every effort to complete the events if there is a rain delay by playing into the evening on the 12 lighted courts. There are no refunds, however, if the event cannot be completed.
