The longest-running youth-supporting arts program in the Lowcountry, The Hilton Head Dance Theatre, is proud to announce that tickets go on sale for the much awaited tradition of The Nutcracker on October 9th. This full length, classical ballet will be performed at The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina for eight shows only opening Saturday, November 7th and running through Sunday, November 15th.This year's Nutcracker will feature all of The Hilton Head Dance School's nearly 300 students, as well as, returning guest professional artists Peter Kozak, formerly of Joffrey Ballet and the Columbia City Ballet and Michael Levine, also formerly a principal dancer with the Joffrey Ballet. This year's cast features seven seniors in the Hilton Head Dance School Company who will share many of the principal roles. This year's "Sugar Plum Fairy" will be shared by Madison Thomas and Emma Herschberger. The "Dew Drop Fairy" will be performed by Tessa Owens and Madison Way, Spanish will feature Annie Bartholomew, and Nicoletta Brunelli, and Channing Title-Fiske will be a Flower Soloist. Many of the seniors have been dancing with the Hilton Head Dance School since they were three years old.
