"The Producers" The Mel Brooks Musical

Bialystock and Bloom! Those names should strike terror and hysteria in anyone familiar with Mel Brooks’ classic cult comedy film. Now as a big Broadway musical, The Producers sets the standard for modern, outrageous humor. The Arts Center will present the regional premiere of this truly “boffo” hit, which won twelve Tony Awards – the most in Broadway history! The plot is simple: a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered accountant come up with a scheme to produce the most notorious flop in history thereby bilking their backers (all “little old ladies”) out of millions of dollars. Only one thing goes awry: the show is a smash hit! The antics of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom, as they maneuver their way fecklessly through finding a show, hiring a director, raising the money and finally going to prison for their misdeeds, is a lesson in laughter. 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM CALL TO CONFIRM SHOW TIME!

"The Buddy Holly Story"

Celebrate the life, the legend, the music of one of the great rockers of all time. Buddy Holly skyrocketed to stardom in the late ‘50s with hits like “That’ll Be the Day,” “Peggy Sue” and “Oh Boy.” But the phenomenal career of this charismatic singer/songwriter, known for his horned-rimmed glasses and vocal hiccup, ended on Feb. 3, 1959, when the plane he and fellow rockers Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper were flying in crashed. Touted as the world’s most successful rock musical, you don’t know what you’ve been a-missin’ til you see this rockin’ jukebox show. Oh boy!
