The Art League Academy welcomes artists and students in all media at all skill levels, including true beginners. Taught by professional art educators, students can choose from many art classes and workshops that change monthly.

Every February, visitors can take part in the Gullah Celebration. The festival features culinary experiences, live music, and history and art exhibits that celebrate the vibrant history of the Gullah people on Hilton Head Island.

2024 marks ten years of the annual Juneteenth Celebration at Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park, and events will be happening June 8-15 to celebrate. Kicking off with a 5K Run & Walk, followed by a Birdwatching Experience, the annual Drum Circle, and culminating with the 10th annual Juneteenth Celebration, this year’s celebrations are set to be a cultural experience to remember.
